Eligibility Criteria :

Educational Qualification : Candidates applying for the posts of Geologist Group ‘A’, Asst. Geologist Grade-I (Group-B) need to possess Master’s degree in Geological Science or Geology or Applied Geology or Geo-Exploration or Mineral Exploration or Engineering Geology or Marine Geology or Earth Science and Resource Management or Oceanography and Coastal Areas Studies.
For the posts of Jr. Hydrogeologists (Scientist “B”) Group “A”, Asst. Hydrogeologists Group “B” Master’s degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational Institutes or Master’s degree in Hydrogeology from a recognised University.
Age Limit :The age should be less than 32 years for Geologist Group ‘A’, Asst. Geologist Grade-I (Group-B) posts. 35 years for Jr. Hydrogeologists (Scientist “B”) Group “A” post. 30 years for Asst. Hydrogeologists Group “B” post as on 01/08/2012.
Age Relaxation:The upper age limit is given up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates. 3 years for OBC. 7 years for Govt. Servants.
