• Educational Qualification : Candidates applying for the post of Scientist ‘C’ should have  Ph.D. in any area of  Earth Sciences, Atmospheric Sciences, hydrology or allied fields with first class in M.Sc., preferably in Glaciology, with four years post doctoral experience in the  field of Glaciology with good academic record & publications in       reputed journals.
• Age Limit :The upper age should be below 40 years as on 30-09-2012.
• Age Relaxation:The upper age is relaxable by 3 years in case of OBC. Up to 5 years in case of SC/ST/ Candidates who have worked in Govt. of India sponsored projects.
