• Educational Qualification : Candidates applying for the post of Senior Medical Officer (SMO) should have MBBS degree with a Post Graduate Degree in the Specialty concerned. For the post of General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO) MBBS degree.
• Age Limit :The upper age should be below 37 years for Senior Medical Officer. 32 years for Duty Medical Officer post as on 01-10-2012.
• Age Relaxation:The upper age is relaxable by 3 years in case of OBC. Up to 5 years in case of SC/ST.
