• Educational Qualification : Candidates applying for the post of Technicians need to have SSC/ 10^th Standard with Science subjects with 55% marks with ITI Certificate Mechanical/ Electrical/ Automobile/ Instrumentation/ Ceramic/ IT/ Machinist/ Computer/ DTP/ Laboratory Assistant (Chemical Plant).
• Age Limit :Upper age should be below 28 years as on  01-10-2012.
• Age Relaxation: The upper age is relaxable by 3 years in case of OBC. Up to 5 years in case of SC/ST/ regular employees working in CSIR Laboratories.
