Eligibility Criteria :                                                                                                              

• Educational Qualification :  Candidates applying for the posts of Engineering Officer Grade 4 must possess 1st Class BE degree with 10 years Post qualification experience or M E or MTech or PhD with 8 years of R & D experience.
• For the post of Engineering Officer Grade 3 candidates need to have 1st Class BE with 5 years Post qualification experience or M E/ MTech with 3 years experience or PhD (Engg).For the post of Scientific Officer Grade 2 candidates need to have 1st Class M Sc with PhD.
• For the post of Publication & Publicity Officer candidates should have a University Degree or diploma in Journalism with 5 years professional experience.For the post of Engineering Assistant Grade 2, Engineering Assistant Grade 1 candidates must possess 1st Class Diploma in Electrical Engg/Technology.Candidates are requested to refer to the original notification for all other posts educational qualification details.
• Age Limit: Candidates upper age limit is 45 years for  the post of Engineering Officer Gr. 4, 40 years for  the posts of Engineering Officer Gr. 3, Publication & Publicity Officer, Accounts Officer, 35 years for the posts of Scientific Officer Gr. 2, Engineering Assistant Gr. 2 and 30 years for the post of Engineering Assistant Gr. 1 as on 24-09-2012.
• Age Relaxation : 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, 10 years for PWD candidates, 5 years for persons domiciled in j&K and For Ex-Serviceman age relaxation will be as per the rules of the Govt.
