A public sector for the distribution of electricity in the state of Maharashtra is known by the name as MAHADISCOM. It stands for Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited or MSEDCL. It is also known as Mahavitaran. It was founded on 6th June 2005 by the Government of Maharashtra. Its head quarter is at Mumbai. Hydro, thermal, gas and other non conventional sources like wind, solar, bagasse etc. are the sources of power for MSEDCL. Around 78000 employees are working under MAHADISCOM.

A recruitment notification no. 03/2012 has been published. Through this advertisement, MSEDCL invites applications from Indian Nationals for various posts of Accounts Assistants. Candidates with the required qualification and experience can apply before 20th April 2012. Mode of application is online only and applications send through any other source will not be accepted.

Total 798 vacancies are for the post of Accounts Assistants. Candidates applying for this post should not be less than 18 years and even should not be more than 30 years of age. Graduation in Commerce stream is essential.

Selection will based on written test and then interview. Written examination will be on 20th May 2012. Selected candidates will get salary of Rs.10000/- per month during 1st year, Rs.11000/- per month during 2nd year and Rs.12000/- per month during 3rd year.
