- Educational Qualification : Candidates who wish to apply for the post of Junior Research Fellow must have M.Sc in Forestry/ Botany with Computer Knowledge and for the post of Field Assistant should have M.Sc in Zoology/ Forestry. - Age Limit : Upper age limit for above mention posts is 28 years as on 01-06-2013
- Age Relaxation: Relaxation of age will be applicable for SC/ST, Women and Physically Handicapped candidates for 5 years and 3 years for OBC Candidates

The Tropical Forest Research Institute, Jabalpur is one of the eight regional institutes under the Indian Council of Forestry Research & Education. The Institute came into existence in April 1988, although its origin goes back to 1973 when a Regional Centre of FRI, Dehradun was established at Jabalpur to provide research support to the problems of forest management in central India.
