Eligibility Criteria :
- Educational Qualification : Candidates applying for the post of Indian Economic Service must possess the qualification of Post Graduate degree in Economics/ Applied Economics/ Business Economics/ Econometric.
- For the post of Indian Statistical Service Post-Graduate degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Applied Statistics from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutes established by an Act of Parliament.
- Age Limit :The age should be less than 30 years as on 01-08-2012.
- Age Relaxation:The upper age limit is given up to 5 years for SC/ST/ candidates who are domiciles of J&K from 01/01/1980 to 31/12/1989/Ex-serviceman and up to 10 years for the PWD and 3 years for OBC/ Defence Services personnel disabled in operations during hostilities.
